A mother in Wirral, UK, has withdrawn her teenage daughter from school and begun homeschooling after repeated incidents of racial abuse were ignored by the school’s leadership.
The student, of mixed-race heritage, was reportedly subjected to ongoing racist taunts and harassment by fellow pupils. According to the family, the abuse occurred over a sustained period and had a serious emotional impact, affecting the teenager’s mental health, self-esteem, and ability to engage with her education.
Despite raising concerns with the school on numerous occasions, the family claims that no meaningful action was taken. The lack of response from the administration left the perpetrators unpunished and failed to create a safe learning environment.
Faced with the growing psychological toll on their daughter and the school’s apparent unwillingness to intervene, the parents made the difficult decision to remove her from the institution and provide education at home.
The school in question has not issued a specific response to the allegations.
The case highlights wider concerns about how racism is handled in UK schools, especially in areas where minority students are underrepresented. We are actively reviewing this incident and continue to advocate for systemic reforms, including mandatory staff training, robust anti-racism policies, and a zero-tolerance stance on discriminatory behaviour.
